Elections

Nominations is the first stage of elections where your potential student leaders nominate themselves for one of the available roles. This is where you will see the roles available and if you know someone that would be great, recommend that they nominate.

At this point you should consider whether this is an opportunity you just cannot miss. This could be your chance to step into a leadership roles and make your mark on the student experience at Arden.

We do not accept nominations once the nominations period has closed. At this point any student who has nominated themselves will be getting their election campaign ready, engaging in training and thinking about what they will do on behalf of students if elected.

At this point every student should familiarise themselves with how to vote, ensure they can log into the website, and get excited to meet their candidates.

This is when you will see for the first time who has put themselves forward to be your next student leadership team. You will be able to access their candidate statements for the first time to learn about them and what they will do if they are elected.

At this point every student should take the time to read the candidates statements and think about who has earned their vote.

This is when voting opens, and you can cast you vote for who you want to be your next student leadership team. You will be able to rank the candidates in order of preference so that even if your first choice does not have enough votes you second choice might and your vote is not wasted.

At this point you just simply need to vote and encourage your fellow students to do the same.

This is when voting closes, and your students’ association cannot accept any votes after voting closes. You and your fellow students have cast their vote, and the results will be calculated to find out who will be your next student leadership team.

At this point you just need to wait and see who your student leaders will be.
